Break-off cannot contain him.
Sean White has been all smiles in his first television interview since splitting from his fiancee Nina Dobrev on Tuesday.
The former professional snowboarder cheerfully reflected on some of his Olympic games while appearing on the “Today” show, which discussed the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy.
“I just run around and support my friends who are definitely competing and incorporate them,” White told the host.
“This is my first winter Olympics I’m not competing, so there’s a lot of feelings out there, but honestly, I’m excited to support it and check it out,” he continued his upcoming game, scheduled for February 2026.
White, 39, added that his first Olympics were held in Italy, so when he returns, many memories will be brought for him.
He joked, “I might have to get my hair back.” On this occasion, I referred to his famous long red hair at the first Olympics to win a gold medal for the half-pipe in 2006.
The interview comes shortly after it was reported that 36-year-old White and Dobrev split five years later and cancelled their engagement.
Fans began speculating that the couple had relationship issues after the alum of “Vampire’s Diary” was discovered without an engagement ring while appearing at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month.
Sources later confirmed the division that told people that the breakup of “mutual decisions” was “not easy.”
“But it was made with love and deep respect for each other,” an insider told the outlet.
Insiders later reported that the couple split up due to their different priorities. The professional snowboarder wanted to start a family while the actress was focusing on her career.
“Shaun retired and had his final Olympics. He was very prepared for marriage and children,” a source told the Daily Mail, referring to the Beijing 2022 Winter Games.
“Nina was on board and I’m very interested in seeing where her acting career goes. It’s very important to her and very important,” they added, explaining that White “focused on being an entrepreneur after her snowboarding career was over.”
“He was a father and wanted that life,” they continued. “As much as they had the same ideals and wanted to enjoy the same ride, they naturally couldn’t get together on a common goal, and that was the burden on their relationship.”
