When they’re not competing, the professionals at Dancing with the Stars are busy cultivating the next generation of skilled dancers.
Season 34 of the competition show begins at the Ballroom on September 16th, and is a family affair. Spouses Daniela Karagach and Pasha Pashkov, Jenna Johnson and Val Chemerkovsky all compete against each other for the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy, along with ten other professionals and their partners.
But one of the more special moments on the show has seen many professionals become parents since joining the cast. Johnson and Chmerkovsky, who started their love story on DWTS, are now parents of their sons. Meanwhile, Karagach and Pashkov’s daughter were associated with the entire DWTS crew when she recently accompanied her parents on a tour.
Speaking to people in June 2025, Karagach said the DWTS family “feeled at home all the time” and it was great to see them develop “something special bond” with their daughter.
There’s everything you need to know about the kids in the Dancing with the Stars Pro cast.

Karagach married Fellow DWTS Pro Pashkov in 2014. The couple welcomed their daughter Nikita on May 30, 2023.
“I can’t wait to see Pasha become a dad because she is unrealistic with her kids. There’s no anxiety. There’s no stress. I feel a sense of calm. The baby is trying to change our lives for the better,” Karagach told people at the time.
Nikita has already acquired the taste of tour life. At age 2, she joined her parents on the Dancing Way the Stars tour.
After returning from the road, Karagach told people, “She always felt that she was the highlight of People’s Day.

Gleb Savchenko is the dad of a girl who is proud of her. He shares his daughters Olivia and Zlata with his ex-wife, Elena Samodanova.
Savchenko and Samodanova welcomed Olivia on November 1, 2010 and Zlata on August 1, 2017. After 14 years of marriage, the couple finalized their divorce in 2021, shifting their focus to coexistence.
“We’ve moved on, we’re friends, we’re collaborative parents together. We’re in a great relationship,” Savchenko told Entertainment Tonight in March 2021.
In the same June, he whined on a Jana Kramer podcast: “My kids are my priority, they’re everything.”

Johnson and Cherkovsky first crossed the DWTS path in 2014 when she joined the show as a member of the group. After dating for four years, the professional dancer got married in April 2019. They welcomed their son Rome on January 10th, 2023.
“It’s the perfect absolute thing to raise him,” Johnson told people in February 2025.
Apparently, Rome has happy feet just like mom and dad. “He loves to dance, he loves to sing. He is a performer,” revealed Chmerkovskiy.
“The fun is that he loves watching us dance,” Johnson added. “If we have a video of us dancing, he loves watching it over and over again, so he’ll see what he wants to do.”

Mark Baras and his wife, BC Jan, welcomed their son, Banksi, on November 5th, 2023.
“I was lucky enough to do some really great things in my life – I’m taking part in the show (DWTS), being on Broadway, touring the country, playing music, doing all this different roles and entertainment, which is my favorite.” “He’s so cute, I love him.”
The couple’s whirlwind romance began in 2012 with a singer-songwriter event. Ballas proposed to Jean in January 2016 and married in November.

Whitney Carson and her husband Carson McAllister have two sons, Kevin Leo, born January 3, 2021, and Jett, born May 14, 2023.
The couple moved their family from Utah to Florida in 2023. Later that year, Carson announced that she would not return to DWTS season 32 so that she could focus on her family.
“You know that family is the most important thing to me. We now really felt that it’s not for us to move our entire family to this point,” she said in a video for Tiktok. “I also feel mentally and physically unprepared for what the show is looking for.”
Carson returned DWTS in 2024 for the show’s 33rd season.
