Warner Bros Discovery is accelerating the push for international streaming with the expansion of HBO Max to 14 additional Asia-Pacific regions set for October 15th.

The rollout brings premium streamers to Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Macau, Mongolia, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, marking another important milestone in the platform’s aggressive global expansion strategy. HBO Max is also available in Myanmar, Nepal, Palau, Papua New Guinea, the Soloman Islands and Timor Reste.

The timing of the launch is strategically in line with HBO’s upcoming original series, “It: Welcome to Derry.” This will premiere on October 27th. Stephen King-inspired dramas include Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso and Bill Skarsguso. Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs developed the series. This expands the horror universe Muschietti established in his “It” film Duology.

“After a successful launch in Australia and Europe earlier this year, the global expansion of HBO Max continues to bring unparalleled entertainment to more fans around the world,” said JB Perrette, CEO and President of Global Streaming and Games at Warner Bros. Discovery. “By the end of the year, the HBO MAX will be available in over 100 markets, with more markets including a massive launch in 2026 in Germany, Italy and the UK.”

The service will showcase content from various lifestyle networks such as Manga Network, Discovery, TLC, Food Network, ID, and HGTV, in addition to Warner Bros Discovery portfolio, spanning blockbuster franchises such as HBO’s fame programming, Harry Potter and DC Universe Properties.

New subscribers will access recent theatrical releases, including “Superman,” “Sinner,” and “Final Destination: Bloodline.”

The platform includes upcoming originals such as The Paper and Mobland, Gold Rush, Deadliest Catch and 90 Day Fiancé, as well as real-life programming, along with Adventure Time, We Bare Bears, Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes, and The Worndefly Weird World of Gumball.
