Mariska Hargitay has a lot of jokes for her longtime co-star Christopher Meloni.
After the 77th Annual Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 14th, the 64-year-old Law & Order: Organized Crime Star celebrated the ceremony together in an Instagram post shared to Meloni’s account.
“Shenangans and special people at @theemmys.tvwith @therealmariskahargitay @jennifercoolidge,” Meloni captioned the post that contained a selfie of him and Hargitay.
In another video in the post, the pair is shown making fun of around backstage as Meloni films a table full of Emmys ready to hand over the Emmys, Hargitay is heard telling him off camera.
He quickly reveals that he is filming, and Hargitay ends up laughing.
“Do you know what I’m going through?” Harugitay continues laughing, Meloni jokes and adds “Ahhh.”
Meloni then said, “And she curses!”
Meloni and Hargitay also appeared on stage at the annual awards ceremony, and presented them with outstanding drama series awards.
Their co-stars Ice T, Tony Goldwyn and S. It was fun for each other as they came out with Epasa Mercerson and the group celebrated the 35-year franchise.
“We are your dream team of law and order, icons, veterans, survivors of so many rooftop chases,” Meloni began.
“And we have one clear mission tonight,” continued Mercerson, 72, to remind us that Goldwyn (Mariska Hargitaye solved more fictional crimes than most actual precincts.
“She has been at SVU for 27 years,” Mercerson pointed out. “That’s longer than people who are being treated for SVU!”

Goldwyn then called out to the character of Hagitai. “And don’t be fooled by compassion. Olivia Benson holds the victim and knocks everything out before lunch.”
“Imperfect, it’s okay, it’s fine. Everyone will settle, that’s enough,” exclaimed Hargitay. “I love you all. I’ll do it seriously.
“Wait a second – isn’t this a roast of Mariska’s lifetime achievement?” Ice-T, 67, joked.
We first met the duo at an audition for Law & Order Audition: Special Actims Unit. Meloni left the series in 2011, but he later returned to the franchise with the spinoff series Law & Order: Organized Crime.

Over the decades, the two became close friends, reunited at SVU and organized organized crime for crossover episodes. Hargitey is even the godfather of Meloni’s daughter.
Hargitay recently spoke about her relationship with her former co-star in an episode of Cole Her Dad in June.
“We’re just connected,” she said of her friendship with the actor. “We’re so close. It seems we’ve been fighting together. We know each other very well. We love each other very much. We respect each other very much.”
Hargitay said the actors have a “very similar sense of humor” and a “shared perspective” that gives each other a “shotography.”
“We’re very comfortable with each other and we trust each other very deeply… whatever he needs, I’m always there for him. It’s mutual. And we’ve grown together and we know 27 years,” she said.
