Reba McEntire provided an update on how Kelly Clarkson’s children are dealing with the tragic death of her father, Brandon Blackstock.
“The kids are on track. They all bond together, wandering around with each other and taking it one day at a time,” the former businessman Stepmom told “Entertainment Tonight” at the 2025 Emmys on Sunday night.
“We miss him. We miss him every minute,” she added elsewhere. “We know that God has this.”
Clarkson, 43, and Blackstock were married from 2013 to 2022 and shared two children.
The former talent manager was father of her 23-year-old daughter Savannah and was with her 18-year-old son, Seth, and his first ex-wife, Melissa Ashworth.
Page 6 confirmed Blackstock’s death on August 7th at the age of 48 after quietly fighting melanoma for three years.
“He died peacefully and surrounded by his family,” a family representative told us.
“We appreciate your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the privacy of our family during this extremely difficult time.”
The insider also told Page 6 that Blackstock was at the hospice before his death.
Mantoia, who was then married to Brandon’s father, Narbell Blackstock, between 1989 and 2015, mourned his death on Instagram.
“Last week, my son-in-law/oldest son, Brandon Blackstock, went home with God,” the Queen of the nation wrote. “His struggle is over, and he is in eternal peace before God.
“No one like him. I’m grateful that we were together. His legacy and laughter will be passed down through his family. Rest in a peaceful cowboy.
Meanwhile, Clarkson stayed under the radar until he arrived at LAX on August 23rd to be photographed.
The “Break Away” diva left the spotlight to mourn with her family, including cancelling the Las Vegas residency show in August.
We learned that an American idol alumni helped to take care of Blackstock until his death.
