When it comes to evil movies, Cheryl Lee Ralph “loves it all.”
The Abbott Elementary School actress, who starred in the Broadway Wikid production from 2016 to 2017, revealed to people in an exclusive chat about the film franchise starring Cynthia Eribo, Elfaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda and Michelle Yeo as Madame Mullible.
“One of my greatest times on stage was playing Madame Morible on Wikid on Broadway,” says Ralph, 68, who talks to people about Weatherhunter, an animated PBS Kids show.
The winner of Emmy and the two moms continue. “And I have no regrets, but I hope I asked me to play (Madame Morible) in the film! But it’s okay, it wasn’t mine, but it’s okay.”
Ralph praised Oscar winner Yoh for his portrayal of Madame Morible.
“I thought she did a great job. Everyone brings a unique special flavor to these roles. My flavor is what I bring, and I bring what she brought and that’s great,” says Ralph.
