Fox Medical Drama premiered in January 2025 and will return to the sophomore season on September 14th (Doc Season 2 will make a special debut before Sunday Night Soccer and Air again in the usual Tuesday slots).
Dock stars Molly Parker as Dr. Amy Larsen. Amy Larsen wakes up without recall from the past eight years after a traumatic car accident. When she wakes up, she has to adapt to her reality. She and her husband divorced, and they had a tense relationship with their daughter, and their son died.
The hospital set show is loosely based on Piadante Pichoni, an Italian doctor who suffered brain damage in a 2013 car accident. When he woke up from his coma state, Picaoni believed it was 2001.

Parker stars as Amy. Amy wakes up after a car accident and can’t remember the past eight years. In real life, the Canadian actress is married to one child.
Before Doc, Molly was known for his roles in series such as Swingtown, House of Cards, Deadwood, and Netflix’s Lost in Space.

In Doc, Omar Metwally portrays Dr. Michael Hamda, Chief Medical Officer and Amy’s ex-husband. Away from the camera, Metwally’s relationship status is unknown.
Prior to Doc, Omar was Big Sky and Mr. He was known for his roles in dramas such as Robot, The Affair.
John Ecker and Laura James Ecker

John Ecker will play Dr. Jake Heller, the chief residency and a love interest in Dr. Larsen.
In real life, Ecker is married to fellow actor Laura James Ecker. Laura James Ecker has appeared in notable procedures, including NCIS: Hawaii, Rookie and Swatt.
According to Perfect Wedding Magazine, the two met on a dating app while originally living in Los Angeles. Laura first sent a message to Ecker, recalling that she “had a feeling about this.”
After a four-year date, the pair tied the knot in October 2022 on property outside of Nashville.
“Yesterday was a dream,” Laura wrote on Instagram along with black and white photos from their wedding. “Except that wasn’t the case, I woke up this morning and started this new adventure as a husband and wife.
For years after they got married, Ecker and Laura became parents of two daughters. According to her Instagram, Ellie James Ecker was born on July 31, 2023, followed by Marlowe Elsie Ecker on January 13, 2025.
Amira Van and Patrick Oik

Amirah Vann portrays Dr. Gina Walker, a neuropsychiatrist at Doc.
In January 2025, How to Run With a Murder Alumni revealed that she married longtime partner Patrick Oik. The couple got married at an intimate ceremony in Brooklyn. new york
“Everyone thought we were married and we weren’t doing that. And… we were like that at the time,” Van said on Sheri’s talk show. “It was so simple, there were fewer than 10 people there.”
The actress said, “Our parents are getting older. That was the biggest thing for me. I wanted an elder there.”
She detailed the big day and revealed how the wedding took place at Brooklyn Universal Baptist Church, the church she grew up in.
“The pastor brought me home from the hospital, so he’s my godfather too,” Van said.
They are the parents of two daughters. This is a leek that was born in February 2021 and a zoe that continued in the summer of 2024.
Patrick Walker

Patrick Walker will play Doc freshman Dr. TJ Coleman.
Before Fox Medical Drama, Walker was known for his roles in Chemistry, Gaslit and Ptolemy Grey’s final daily lessons.
In a September 2025 interview with TVLine, Doc executive producer Hank Steinberg said, “There are also some of the good love interests” now that Patrick has been promoted to a regular in the season 2 series.
There may be love in TJ’s future, but the state of Walker’s relationship in real life is unknown.

Charlotte Fountain Jardim portrays Katie Hamda, Amy’s daughter, who dreams of becoming a doctor herself.
Fountain-Jardim was heading for the Season 2 regular series. Before the document, she appeared in the TED series of Maisel Mrs. Maisel and Peacock.
It has not been confirmed whether the actress is dating anyone.
