Saúl “canelo” allvarez balances life in the spotlight by raising children, including Emily Cinnamon, Maria Fernanda, Saul Adiel, and Eva Victoria.

Canelo welcomed his eldest son, Emily, along with his ex-girlfriend Karen Beltran in 2007. He shared his son Zauru with Nelda Sepulveda and welcomed his daughters Maria and Eva with his wife Fernanda Gomez.

The boxer will face Terrence Crawford at Allegant Stadium in Las Vegas on September 13th. This is a match that will air on Netflix. Despite his global success, his children remain his top priorities.

Although Emily grew up on her father’s global trajectory of fame, she developed her own passion, including a deep love for equestrian sports. Over the years, she has participated in 68 competitions, winning two of them.

When Emily celebrated Kinseanella in October 2022, her father happened to leave nothing. Emily wore three gowns, all designed by Wil Medina México, according to Quinceanera.com.

In the middle of the night, Emily shared her father and waltz with a song called “Mikurinsa.” Canelo then took the stage alongside Karin Leon, singing Joanne Sebastian’s “Eso i Mas,” according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

To commemorate the occasion, Canelo wrote on Instagram, “It’s best to happen to me 15 years ago. I love you. I’ll always be happy ❤️ @emilyc.alvarez Happy 15.”

Emily was also consistent in her father’s most notable battles. To celebrate their relationship, the boxer even got a tattoo of Emily’s face on his forearm in February 2018, according to Instagram.

Maria Fernanda Alvarez

Canelo and Gomez welcomed their first child, daughter Maria Fernanda Alvarez, in December 2017, according to Instagram.

Like her brother, Maria has already invested heavily in her father’s career. She and her brothers are frequently by his side when he was practicing in the gym, and Maria sat on his lap and stood on stage with him during pre-game press conferences.

According to Canelo, all of his children enjoy supporting him in his fight, but Maria is the one that gets the most unsettling.

“I think Maria is someone who is more nervous about herself, because she told the Sun in May 2025 because she doesn’t want anyone to hurt me.”

Maria Fernanda also began to reflect her mother’s talent. The two are often spotted with tweaked looks, sometimes stepping into attractive princess gowns, and even keeping them casual in matching tracksuits following Instagram posts.

She also shares twin moments with her dad. The pair showed off their playful side, dressed up as ninjas for their 2023 Halloween Instagram post and decorated with cowboy and cowool outfits to celebrate their birthday in 2024.

“I paint my nails on (daughter) and I put eyeshadow on her, she puts a bow on me, and she ruins it,” he shared on Red Table Talk: Estefan in November 2021.

Canelo and Sepulveda welcomed his only son, Saul Adiel Alvarez, in 2019.

Saul is a fixture for his father’s match and it appears he is already determined to follow in his father’s footsteps. In June 2024, Canelo shared a clip on Instagram about firing Saul’s punches.

According to Canelo, his son has already expressed big dreams about fighting him.

“He loves boxing. He told me, ‘Hey, when will I fight in Las Vegas?” Canelo said in September 2023. ”

Canelo admits that it’s not easy to see his son chase the same tough path.

“Boxing is difficult, I have kids who love boxing. It’s difficult. It’s going to be difficult for me,” he continued. “But if he loves boxing, he needs to support him no matter what.”

That support was on display in May 2025 when I saw Canelo give sincere advice about his son’s future. In the clip, Saul was proudly covered by one of his father’s WBC belts on his shoulder, but Canelo spoke of unconditional support.

“If you want to be a boxer, a wrestler, a golfer, an F1 driver, a soccer player, or something you want to be, as long as it makes you happy, I will always support you,” he said. “I’m always there for you. All I want for you is to be happy no matter what you do. If it makes you happy, I’ll go for it. That’s not what you want.

Eva Victoria Alvarez

Canelo and Gomez welcomed their daughter, Eva Victoria Alvarez, on August 9, 2025.

The proud dad introduced her to the world in an Instagram post, writing, “You’re so brave and very strong my love @Fernandagmtz🥹😍 Welcome EvaVictoria❤️.”

Canelo later spoke about his experience in the Daily Mail, saying, “I quit training to be the birth of my daughter. I received my daughter. Everything was amazing.”

He continued. “It’s so beautiful. But I had to go back to training camp. It was very difficult to leave them. It made me feel motivated, especially when she just arrived. I’ll do everything for them. I’ll win this fight for them.”
