Savannah Guthrie gets a fresh haircut from the stylist behind “Rachel”

Savannah Guthrie’s 90s dream comes true!

A few days after Arizona’s image was confronted with the image reported at the Plaza today, Guthrie, 53, decided to recruit celebrity hairstylist Chris McMillian to give her a fresh chop.

By chance – McMillian is the man behind Jennifer Aniston’s iconic 90s hairstyle “Rachel.”

“I think I had ‘Rachel’, it was in the ’90s,” Guthrie said as fans showed off photos from her time in Tucson, Arizona.

On Thursday, September 11th, McMillian stopped by today’s show to give Guthrie her own personal cut and show her new layered lob. He also trimmed Jenna Bush Hager’s chic bob and gave her a live show on TV in June. He concluded the day today by completing two fan transformations with Jenna and a friend.

“Thank you for welcoming me with 4 haircuts and the most fun morning with everyone on @Jennaandfriends and @TodayShow by 9am, thank you for welcoming me ✂itourthy, I can’t wait to share more!” McMillan posted on Instagram.

In the photos and videos, Aniston’s longtime hairstylist posed for Guthrie and Bush Hager, showing off his style looks.

Guthrie posted a video in which McMillan wrote “To do it, “I did @ChrismCmillan” and wrote “Of course I did it.”

Today’s co-anchor has previously revealed that her rather light hair colour is not her natural look. In fact, the almost black hair she sports early in her career is her original hair color.

“That’s my natural hair color,” Guthrie admitted the image shown in the Plaza. “Let’s change the subject.”

She also teased that longtime fans could “burn” the images she had brought.
