The Hollyrod Foundation is a nonprofit that raises awareness and resources for families whose loved ones have been diagnosed with autism or Parkinson’s disease, honoring Don Cheadle, Bridged Coulter and Faith Evans, who won the Special Award at the Design Care Gala on October 4th in Los Angeles.
Married couple Cheadle and Coulter share Clarence and Jacqueline’s Avan Holirod Humanitarian Award. The Avans founded a donor to Hollyrod in 1999, and the couple continues in their spirit with a philanthropic contribution to the organization’s cause.

Hollyrod founder Hollyrod said, “For over 20 years, couples’ leadership and generosity have impacted countless lives, creating opportunities for marginalized voices and fostering meaningful change.”
Meanwhile, Evans receives the Hollyrod Champion Award for his support of Hollyrod’s values. The singer-songwriter is an advocate for the recognition of autism and founded her own nonprofit organization, Rider’s Loom Company, dedicated to the cause.
Design Care Gala honors Vernon Jackson as the Haryrod Angel on the Pass, and Summit and Villajdanda as the Haryrod Heroes. The event features guest musical performances and a fashion show by designer Frederick Anderson.
The gala will be held in Los Angeles on October 4th.
