JoJo Siwa can trust Chris Hughes’ wedding day dreams.
On Tuesday, September 9th, while appearing as a guest on an episode of her reign with the Josh Smith Podcast, the 22-year-old “Karma” singer revealed that the Love Island alumni (32) sees her love in a very different light.
“I’m happy. I’ve never wanted the future that bad. I didn’t want the love I had to continue growing,” Siwa said.
Siwa and Hughes met at Season 24 of Celebrity Big Brother UK, which began filming in April 2025. They became close friends on the show before the relationship became romantic.

“I’ve never longed for a wedding,” the dance mom star continued. “I always want to sign a piece of paper or go to Vegas, but I didn’t want to have a wedding, so now I’m like, “No, I want a ring, so I want my dad to walk down the aisle.”
“I’m happy,” she said.
Siwa confirmed her relationship with Hughes over the summer in an interview with the Guardian on June 2nd. “It’s not platonic anymore, it’s a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, I’m absolutely head over there for him, and he’s in the same way,” she said.

Before her relationship with English TV personality and sports presenters, she came out as LGBTQ+.
During her reign with the Josh Smith podcast, she admitted that her public date choices were not made without “repulsion.”
“It’s difficult because my family feels a little different. And we’re an LGBTQIA+ family, not an LG community, it’s a beautiful rainbow, and the number one in the queer community is love,” Siwa said.
She continued. “And that’s both ways, because I’m in a heterosexual relationship where I don’t trust the past.”

The “Hold the Drama” singer argues that the change in public treatment for her is obvious.
“It’s been so realising to me. I think I need to see it about how cruel hatred is there and how brutal bullying is from outside and within the community.

Still, Whiwa remained asserted that he would not change how hatred felt about Hughes.
“I think older people in the community need to understand how to treat me in this situation. I won’t affect me. I promise absolutely. I am very happy. I am very loved. I am very loved. I am very loved. I am very loved. I am in a wonderful place,” Shiwa said.
