Queen Camilla was reportedly attacked as a teenager and fought the attacker with her heels.
Former Royal correspondent Valentine Law recounted how the royal family once shared traumatic events with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson in his upcoming book, Power and the Palace: The Inner Story of the Monarchy.
In an excerpt obtained by the Sunday Times, the author writes that Johnson and his former communications director Guthari were invited to tea with Camilla and King Charles at Clarence House when they were mayor of London in June 2008.
Recalling the interaction between Johnson and Camila, Hari told Low:
“He was making throat noises about how much he admired and liked him. But the serious conversation they had was that she was a victim of sexual assault when she was a female student.”
Hari allegedly said Camila, now 78, told Johnson that the incident occurred on a train to Paddington when she was 16 or 17 years old.
“Some guys were moving their hands,” Hari insisted, explaining that Johnson was intrigued and asked Camilla how she reacted.
“I did what my mother taught me. I took off my shoes and slapped him with nuts on my heels,” she allegedly told Johnson to Hari.
Looking back at the story, Hari claims that Camilla is “sufficiently owned” to “jump off the train” and says, “I found a man in a uniform and “the man attacked me.” ”
“He was arrested,” Hari said.
The story is said to have motivated Johnson to open three rape crisis centres in London.
“I didn’t ask why they were interested or why they were committed,” Hari added. “But that’s what it’s back. ”
Insider told the Daily Mail that Camila, who married Charles in 2005, is open about alleged assault on those closest to her, as she believes that “since her own experience helps other women” would be a “positive outcome.”
Sources say that Camila refrains from being opened about allegations of the incident on the grounds that “it happened for a very long time” rather than “shaming,” and “has always adopted the view that other women’s stories are far more important than themselves.”
Camilla and Johnson rep were not immediately available on Page 6 for comments.
