Jay Cutler was sentenced to four days behind bars after signing a plea agreement with DUI in a gun possession case since October 2024.
The former NFL athlete, 42, pleaded guilty to a one-count misdemeanor DUI in a Tennessee court on Tuesday. Prosecutors dismissed the possession of the weapon by confiscation of the weapon.
Aside from his prison time, which begins within 30 days, Cutler will also be fined $350, be on a year of supervised probation and be subject to regular and random drug testing.
Additionally, his license was revoked.
Cutler representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment on page 6.
Christine Cavalari’s ex-husband was arrested in Franklin, Tennessee in October last year.
Cutler allegedly supported another vehicle and tried to escape from the scene before police arrived, the Franklin Police Department told Page 6 at the time. According to a police report, he offered to pay the driver $2,000 if he didn’t call police.
When officers arrived, they claimed he was visibly drunk. Searching Cutler’s white ram truck, officers found two firearms in the vehicle containing the loaded pistol.
Kavalari (son Camden, 13, Jackson, 11, and daughter Saylor (9), who shares three children with Cutler, worked on “honestly” arresting Cutler shortly after the incident.
“Of course, Jay only hopes for the best. I hope he gets the help he needs, but that’s the only thing I’m saying publicly about it,” she said at the time.
exe is not the best condition. Earlier this month, Cutler accused her of lying about not receiving money from him in a divorce settlement during an episode of a podcast that she was “going outside.”
Cutler, who earned around $127.9 million during his 12-year NFL career, said he was “not a Tennessee judge” who would have signed a divorce agreement that would allow him to “keep up all the dollars” during his marriage.
“It’s irresponsible. I think it’s reckless. I think it’s a boundary slander to allud the Zero Dollar split during the marriage,” he said.
“It’s insanity. It’s completely false, it’s not completely true. It’s just, I have a divorce order. I have one signed by a judge – it seems to be 67 pages – it says a breakdown of the numbers,” Cutler added.
The former Chicago Bears quarterback and “Laguna Beach” alumni announced their split in 2020 after seven years of marriage. Their divorce was finalised two years later.
