Pamela Anderson revealed Friday that no one involved with Fox’s upcoming Baywatch reboot has contacted her about a cameo role.
“Nobody contacted me,” she told Deadline. “I don’t know much about that.”
However, the 59-year-old said producers approached her sons Brandon Lee and Dylan Lee (with ex-husband Tommy Lee) about getting involved behind the scenes.
“I know they talked about producing with my sons at some point, but I don’t think they saw eye to eye,” she explained. “I don’t know what happened there, but I wish them all the best.”
The Last Showgirl star, who played iconic lifeguard CJ Parker for five seasons from 1992 to 1997, said she has no desire to return to the beach.
“It was a great job. I loved going to work on the beach every day,” she said. “I would have been there anyway.”
Looking back on the role that launched him to international fame, Anderson added, “Everything I’ve done has gotten me here,” but revealed that he has “no plans” to return to the series.
When asked if she would be interested in seeing what CJ Parker ultimately became decades later, Anderson admitted that she might have been more open if her sons had been involved in the project.
“If my children were involved, I probably would have listened to them,” she says.
Instead, Anderson said she is focused on new challenges rather than looking back.
“I think we need to keep looking at what else is out there,” she explained. “We’ve already done that. Now it’s time to actually play with different characters.”
The actress added that she is considering a return to the stage and wants to make a “really bold choice.”
“I want to surprise people. I want to surprise myself. So I’m trying to do something that hasn’t been done before.”
A representative for Fox did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Anderson’s comments come months after original Baywatch stars David Chokachi, Kerry Packard and Michael Bergin were spotted filming scenes for the reboot in Venice, California. Shauni McClain will also reprise her role.
The new series stars Brooks Nader, Shay Mitchell, and Stephen Amell as the adult Hobie Buchanon, and is scheduled to premiere in January 2027.
The original “Baywatch” aired for 11 seasons from 1989 to 2001.
