Jenny Mollen has admitted she is “deeply depressed” following her split from husband Jason Biggs.
The actress took to Instagram on Thursday to share a quirky video of herself jumping across a meadow barefoot and with her arms raised.
“It’s clear, I’m extremely depressed,” she captioned the post. “This is what survival really means.”
Moren, 47, playfully twirled the camera in the clip, set to Metric’s 2009 song “Help I’m Alive.”
The “Girls” star received support from her followers, with one commenting, “I know that! 🙌👏 No one knows what depression feels like. Good luck mom. ❤️❤️.”
Another person echoed Moren’s sentiments, writing: “This post really makes a lot of sense.”
Mollen’s compromising post came after Page Six confirmed in May that she and Biggs, 48, had split.
A representative for his ex-girlfriend said the pair remain on friendly terms and are determined to co-parent their sons Laszlo, 8, and Sid, 12.
Shortly after news of their breakup broke, Moren wrote a Substack essay in which she said she struggles to feel “valuable and recognized.”
She talked about how she has been rushing through life since she was six years old. “Everywhere I’ve been has felt a little temporary, like the waiting room you’re stuck in before surgery.”
Ms Moren admitted that she hadn’t lived through her sons’ childhood, blaming it on them being “young and ambitious, or maybe just middle-aged with ADHD.”
The Kidnapping of Caitlyn star said the “greatest high” of her life was “penny disappearing into a bottomless well”, and admitted that she was ultimately looking for the next big thing in her life to make her feel “cured” or “worthy and accepted”.
Despite announcing their split, Mr. Biggs and Mr. Moren have remained united, as they were photographed going out to dinner with their children in New York City in June.
At the time, the former couple was seen walking arm in arm.
Later that month, Moren said her relationship with the “American Pie” star was “still romantic” during an appearance on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast.
“We still love each other,” she said. “That’s different, I don’t know. This is a different type of romance. It’s like your best friend.”
In the episode, Moren said being single has been “surreal” and “weird,” explaining, “We live in two different places, but we’re still tied down. We have kids. We still talk 18 times a day about everyone’s schedules and after school and holidays.”
Biggs and Moren met while working on the 2007 Howard Deutch film My Best Friend’s Girl, before marrying in January 2008.
