In the first trailer for season 16 of “The Real Housewives of New York City,” Carole Radziwill is confronted about her name being on Epstein’s file.
As Variety exclusively reported, during a preview teasing Radziwill’s return to the show after last appearing in season 10, Radziwill will be questioned about his past relationship with Jeffrey Epstein’s Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted of trafficking minors and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
In one scene, a stranger on the street sees Radziwill talking to Erin Ritchie and exclaims, “She’s from the Epstein file!”
“Have you never been to this island?” cast member Cy de Silva asks Radziwill after a tense exchange. Radziwill quickly silenced it by saying, “No. Do you think I’m part of an international sex trafficking ring?”
In an interview with The New York Times in March, Radziwill was asked about her relationship with Maxwell. “Imagine, you know someone and you become even more friendly and you realize that person is like a monster,” she said, adding that they had been friends “for five or six years” but “didn’t know anything about Jeffrey Epstein.”
Elsewhere in the trailer, we see the reunion of Jessel Tank, Lissy, and Silva, as well as newcomers Daisy Toy, Erica Hammond, and Haley Glassman. The official synopsis for Season 16 reads, “From concrete jungles to the sands of private islands, the girls work hard and play even harder. Friendships grow stronger, new ones are formed, and unexpected twists take place. As fragments of the past resurface and new tensions arise, the girls navigate shifting loyalties and broken friendships.”
RHONY is produced by Shed Media and executive produced by Lisa Shannon and Lori Gordon. Andy Cohen will also serve as executive producer. Tia Ayers, Kate Murphy and Alfonso Rosales will serve as co-executive producers.
“RHONY” Season 16 premieres Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 8 p.m. on Bravo, with episodes streaming the next day on Peacock.
