NBC Sports hopes to capitalize on the interest in Telemundo and Peacock’s World Cup telecasts to energize the nation’s soccer summer with a focus on Premier League games each year.
NBC Sports and the league on Thursday launched an 11-question, shareable, interactive quiz called “Find Your Match.” The quiz matches die-hard fans or simply curious fans with Premier League clubs based on personality traits and cultural interests. As a result, NBC and the league will be able to send each participant information on how to watch their team during the 2026-2027 season, which begins on USA Network on NBC, Peacock and Versant, said Lindsay Signore, NBC Sports’ senior vice president of marketing.
“There’s a lot of data that shows that people who first learned about soccer through the World Cup don’t want it to end,” she says. “They want to keep the fandom alive.”
The 2026 FIFA World Cup has more players from the Premier League than any other organization, with 182 players having played in the Premier League last season or signed up for next season. Among them is Norwegian soccer player Erling Haaland, who made a splash at the World Cup.
“Many of the Premier League’s stars have made their breakthrough at the World Cup,” Signore points out. “Even if you’re not a hardcore fan, you can watch them play all year round through the Premier League. If you’re a hardcore fan, you’ll see them in a different way on the international stage.”
The quiz will officially debut inside Premier League venues this week at Fanatics Fest NYC, which runs from July 16th to July 19th, where fans will be able to experience a massive Find Your Match experience. Those who participate in the event will be able to experience the quiz quickly and learn about their club’s matches.
“We are extremely excited about the upcoming season and look forward to bringing the energy of the Premier League to even more sports fans who fell in love with soccer this summer,” Premier League U.S. Managing Director Akash Jain said in a statement. He added: “No matter which of our 20 clubs our fans face, we are confident that they will find a team that can join them for an unforgettable journey this season and beyond.”
Fans who take the quiz will also be entered for a chance to win a trip to the UK to watch the new competing Premier League clubs. This quiz is available on NBCSports.com, PremierLeague.com and the Premier League app.
The quiz shows casual fans and more dedicated fans that “we have a place for them to keep watching their stars,” Signore says.
