It’s a family issue.
Jay-Z brought out his wife Beyoncé and son Blue Ivy for a surprise performance at Beyoncé’s 30th Anniversary of “A Reasonable Doubt.”
On Friday night, the “99 Problems” rapper, real name Shawn Carter, opened his first of three shows at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York.
During her performance of “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” Beyoncé took to the stage and sang her part of the Mary J. Blige song.
The ‘Drunk In Love’ singer, 44, stunned in a custom Giuseppe Di Morabito blazer and tailored capri pants embellished all over with oversized crystal pinstripes.
The longtime couple, who married in 2008, shared a kiss before Beyoncé exited the stage.
Blue, 14, then joined his famous father on stage to play piano on his 1996 song “Feelin’ It.”
“Make some noise for the legendary Blue Ivy Carter,” Jay said as the packed audience cheered and applauded the teen.
In an interview with GQ in March, the Roc Nation co-founder, 56, revealed that Blue is a “crazy pianist.”
“She won’t let us have a teacher. She doesn’t want to make it her job. But she has perfect pitch. When she hears a song, she thinks, ‘Let’s play it again,’ so she teaches herself,” he said.
“It’s just a talent. She hasn’t made it her job. She’s worked on this. I’m proud of her for fighting for what she really wants to do,” Jay added.
“I don’t think we can take her off that stage now.”
Jay’s concert series continues Saturday night at Yankee Stadium with a dedicated concert commemorating the 25th anniversary of his 2005 album “The Blueprint,” and on Sunday, the emcee will perform an expanded setlist spanning his catalog.
