Crunchyroll has acquired international streaming rights to the highly anticipated upcoming anime series Kagurabachi.
Additionally, the streamer confirmed that actor Katsuyuki Konishi will be joining the Japanese voice cast as Tougo Shiba, and released a new teaser featuring a first look at the character from the animated TV series Kagurabachi. Previously announced cast members for the Cypic-produced show include Daiki Kimura as Chihiro Rophira and Tomokazu Seki as Kunishige Rophira.
Kagurabachi, based on Ken Sozono’s popular Weekly Shonen Jump manga, was first announced by animation studio Cypic in April and was scheduled to be released in April 2027. The show is currently scheduled to be streamed on Crunchyroll in all regions except Japan, mainland China, North Korea, and South Korea.

The dark story of “Kagurabachi” follows Chihiro Rokuhira, a swordsman who seeks revenge against a group of sorcerers while wielding a powerful magical sword.
The anime “Kagurabachi” will be directed by Tetsuya Takeuchi, character designed by Keigo Sasaki, and produced by Cypic (“Uma Musume Cinderella Gray”, “The Summer When Hikaru Died”).
Ahead of its April 2027 premiere, “Kagurabachi” producers and Crunchyroll will invite fans to a “world tour” of early episode screenings. Kagurahachi Anime World Tour Part 1 begins at Anime Expo, then heads to Japan Expo, Animagi C, Otacon, and Anime NYC.
According to Crunchyroll, additional details about the “Kagurabachi” anime, including further casting and production updates, will be announced at a later date.
