Ed Sheeran may be more than just a guest at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s upcoming wedding.
The “Love Story” singer quipped last year that it would be “difficult” to keep her friends away from the stage on her special day.
During an October 2025 appearance on Swift’s Capital FM Breakfast Show, co-host Fleur East pointed out that Sheeran, 35, had recently told listeners that he was “constantly being asked to perform at people’s weddings.”
East then directly asked Swift, 36, if her friend would “sing at[her]wedding.”
The bride, who got engaged in August 2025, predicted with a smile that Sheeran would bring “energy” to her wedding.
“He’s like, ‘I’m always asked to sing at weddings,'” she continued. “It’s like, ‘Ed, if there’s a stage, I know I’m going to be on it.'” He knows what people want and wants to give them what they want.
“The funny thing about our friendship is that we both love to perform, we both love to write, and we both love to sing,” Swift added. “We’re like, ‘Oh, don’t make me sing! I get it!'”
Last month, Page Six exclusively reported that the “Shape of You” hitmaker and his wife, Cherry Seaborn, were invited to Swift’s long-awaited nuptials.
Our source says Swift modeled her secret nuptials in a similar way, taking inspiration from Sheeran’s 2018 private wedding page.
“To this day, no one knows exactly who attended Ed Sheeran’s wedding, but that was the model for this wedding,” a source said. “A complete secret.”
Notably, the Grammy Award-winning musicians are longtime friends and have collaborated several times.
Rumors arose last year that their friendship was “strained” after Swift dropped “The Life of a Showgirl” just weeks after Sheeran released his album “Play.”
However, the latter shut down rumors of bad blood in November 2025.
“We’ve been friends for years,” Sheeran explained to Access Hollywood at the time. “We’re very close, and when we meet, we look at each other, and when we see each other, we pick up where we left off.”
No word yet on who will be on stage at Swift and Kelsey’s wedding, but Page Six exclusively revealed in April that the ceremony will take place on July 3 in New York City.
An estimated 1,000 guests will attend the Madison Square Garden celebration that day, and there may be performances on stage, The New York Times reported Wednesday.
The celebration will reportedly follow a more intimate party for 100 people at the same venue on July 2nd.
