Ariana Grande is embracing her Instagram wardrobe malfunction.
The “Side to Side” singer shared a photo to her Instagram Stories Tuesday of herself bending down to pet a dog, but accidentally exposed her left breast, prompting a hilarious response. In the photo, Grande wore a red and white gingham dress with an open front that accidentally exposed her breasts.
On Wednesday, Grande cheekily referenced the revealing snap by posting an old clip of her and best friend Elizabeth Gillies recreating an iconic scene from 1995’s Showgirls.
In the video, where Grande and Gillies dress up as Elizabeth Berkley’s character Nomi Malone and Gina Gershon’s character Crystal Connors, respectively, for Halloween 2023, Gilly looks at Grande’s breasts and says, “That’s amazing. You’re really beautiful.”
Grande, wearing a platinum blonde wig, replies, “Thank you.”
Paul Verhoeven’s Showgirls was critically acclaimed upon its release, but the controversial erotic thriller about Nomi’s journey to Las Vegas to pursue her dreams of becoming a dancer and showgirl has become a cult classic in recent years.
Berkley praised Grande, 32, for guiding her role in the film in November 2023.
“The magical @arianagrande recreated my #Nomi for #Halloween with the love and attention to detail that only an artist with heart and creative talent can do,” Berkeley wrote on Instagram. “I look up to you, @arianagrande, and love how you and @lizgillz had fun on #nomiandcrystal in a way only you two can.”
Grande thanked them for the love, commenting, “You are truly the most gorgeous ever! We love you so much and it was so much fun honoring you both. Thank you for changing us forever with your glorious, iconic Nomi.”
The “Thank U, Next” singer is currently on his Eternal Sunshine Tour.
Earlier this month, she broke down in tears on stage in Los Angeles as she thanked fans for their support after she split from her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater after three years together.
“This is the most beautiful way ever and it’s so overwhelming,” she said as they cheered her on.
Grande also thanked her fans for being “such a loving and safe presence” in her life “throughout every chapter so far and through all these years.”
