Dungeons & Dragons maker Wizards of the Coast has set a theme for the second installment of its upcoming Dungeon Masters TV series.
Premiering on YouTube on July 8, the nine-episode second season of the Dungeons & Dragons Practical Play Show, hosted by Jasmine Bhullar, will feature the upcoming campaign “Arcana Unleashed” set in D&D’s Forgotten Realms.
The new season will feature Booler (DigiQuest, Dimension 20) as Dungeon Master, as well as regular cast members Mayanna Belin (Dispatch, StoryQuest), Christian Navarro (13 Reasons Why, The Forgotten Realms), Neil Newbon (Baldur’s Gate III), and Devorah Wilde (Baldur’s Gate). III”), play a new D&D campaign.
According to the description for Wizards’ Arcana Unleashed-themed Dungeon Masters Arc 2, “The Ninth Our hero, a magical agent of the Order of the Feather, is thrown into the deadly expanses of the Anaurok Desert, a shattered wasteland still radiating the devastating magic of Netheril’s fall and standing between Faerûn and the unfathomable horrors. is only a fragile, shimmering barrier.” But the desert itself is far from silent, and as if that weren’t enough, the desert itself is trying to kill them in pursuit of their own vision.
In the “Arcana Unleashed” season, cast characters (pictured below) include Sailor, an aasimar warrior of the Mysterious Arts Monk (Newborn); “Princess” Hobnip, Goliath’s arcane archer fighter (Wild). Cadmus Pennypetal, human transmutation magician (Navarro). and Saphira Horayas (Berlin), a High Elf vestigial warlock.
In the teaser for “Dungeon Masters” arc 2, which readers can watch in the video above, Buhler introduces the cast to a new world.
The first season of “Dungeon Masters,” which launched on YouTube in April amid the growing popularity of live D&D content like “Critical Role” and Dropout’s “Dimension 20,” differentiated itself by being the only series produced by an official D&D licensee. That first arc was based on “Ravenloft: The Horrors Within,” which was released shortly after “Dungeon Masters” ended. Arcana Unleashed is scheduled to be published in September after this second season airs.
Wizards of the Coast has confirmed that two more Dungeon Masters installments, Arc 3 and Arc 4, will be released by the end of the year, and their themes will be announced closer to their debut.
