A competition series inspired by the world of Gabby’s Dollhouse is coming to Netflix.
Hosted by Lyla Lockhart Cranor, who played Gabby in the movie Gabby’s Dollhouse, the show follows a duo of young bakers and makers as they compete in baking and crafting challenges that bring dollhouses to life.
Four holiday-themed episodes of the family-friendly competition will be available to stream on Netflix later this year, with more coming in 2027.
The show is produced by DreamWorks Animation and B17 Entertainment, a division of Sony Pictures Television. Rhett Buckner and Brien Meagher serve as executive producers, with Claire Koslov serving as executive producer and showrunner.
“Since ‘Gabby’s Dollhouse’ premiered on Netflix in 2021, a world of creativity and imagination has exploded for young audiences, and that world continues to expand,” said co-creators Jennifer Toomey and Tracy Page Johnson. “We’ve been so lucky to be able to continue playing and creating in dollhouses, and now with Season 14 on Netflix, we’re introducing a competition series that brings play to life in new ways.”
Netflix made this announcement as part of a slew of other news aimed at viewers in the single digits of age. Season 14 of “Gabby’s Dollhouse” aired on Sept. 14, and the streamer also added more than 100 episodes of “Sesame Street” to the platform. Another batch of episodes will arrive in July.
Season 3 of “Dr. Seuss’ Red Fish, Blue Fish” will premiere on August 10th, and Season 2 of “Labrador Sheriff” will premiere on August 31st. And Netflix has added Bedtime Stories with Netflix Jr., a collection of soothing stories to help kids fall asleep.
