While ex-best friend Taylor Swift celebrated the weekend with her girlfriends ahead of her wedding to Travis Kelsey, Blake Lively was running errands alone on Friday.
Lively was spotted grocery shopping alone in upstate New York on Friday. The actress wore a pastel-colored jacket layered over a pale pink tunic that fell past her knees, a quirky outfit reminiscent of the one worn by her character Lily Bloom in the film “Apocalypse.” She completed her look with cuffed jeans and matching pink sneakers.
The “Gossip Girl” alum tied her hair back with a nail clip while pushing her own shopping cart.
TMZ reported on Saturday that Swift and her close friends were celebrating at a $17 million beachfront mansion in Rhode Island. A black SUV with tinted windows was spotted leaving the pop star’s mansion shortly before 11 a.m. local time on Saturday.
On Wednesday, a woman resembling Swift was seen on a balcony at the Watch Hill property, dressed in white and surrounded by three friends dressed in black.
The Grammy winner’s close friend Abigail Anderson Berard was also photographed holding her young child on the balcony.
Although Lively was not at the celebration, the Daily Mail reported that Swift has invited Lively to her upcoming wedding. Lively and Swift’s once-close friendship has cooled significantly since the “Cruel Summer” singer became embroiled in a messy legal battle with Lively and Justin Baldoni, which ended in an unexpected settlement on May 4.
A source told the Daily Mail: “Everyone around Taylor knows that Blake may be attending. She may not be attending, but that’s probably because she doesn’t feel welcome.”
The source added that Lively, 38, and Swift, 36, “spoke on the phone.”
Another source said: “Blake is looking for a second chance and the two have been having some loose talks to rebuild trust. Now that Taylor is having a change of heart, Blake is slowly coming back into the fold.”
Sources told Page Six that Swift and Kelsey, 36, will marry on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Sources said the wedding will be on the scale of her large-scale “period tour.”
Kelce was also spotted celebrating with friends ahead of the wedding. On Wednesday, the NFL star enjoyed a night out in Los Angeles with his brother Jason Kelce, former Kansas City Chiefs teammate Ross Travis, comedian Dorsky and more.
A group of men went to Bird Street Club, a members-only restaurant on West Hollywood’s Sunset Strip.
