Meghan Markle has revealed a new matcha collaboration with wellness drink brand Clevr Blends, saying she could face a $5 million loss if she doesn’t unload the jam.
The Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram on Tuesday to announce the currently sold-out Strawberry Matcha Set ($56), a collaboration between her brand As Ever and a California-based company run by her friend Hannah Mendoza.
“I have proudly supported Hannah and Clever Blends for years,” she captioned a photo of herself and Mendoza chatting at a table.
Markle, 44, continued, “I’m excited to collaborate with one of my favorite girls and two of my favorite brands.”
Mendoza reposted a photo of the actress and captioned it, “Stunning. I’m always proud that Krevre is powered by women lifting each other up. Lots of love.”
Additionally, the company promoted its latest blend as the “sweetest collaboration” that has “everything you need for a juicy, jammy, quirky summer matcha latte.”
According to As Ever’s website, the matcha blend will be sold alongside Markle’s “most loved” strawberry spread and flower sprinkles.
This bundle sold out quickly as of the publication date of the article.
Markle is a longtime investor and buyer of Clever Blend, and appeared in the brand’s coffee ad in 2023.
But the “Suits” alum’s latest collaboration comes in the wake of new reports that he could face a multi-million dollar loss if he doesn’t sell As Ever Jam before it expires.
The company reportedly won’t unload the jam until next summer, and the loss of profits could increase further if flower sprinkles and tea jars don’t sell, the Daily Mail reported.
Markle launched her As Ever brand in April 2025, selling jams, teas, cookie and crepe mixes.
At the time, the “With Love, Meghan” host sold out of her inventory within minutes and restocked it months later.
She reportedly ordered “10 times” her original order in response to demand, and stock increased as the products continued to sell out.
Sources previously told Page Six that a website glitch left Markle with an estimated 650,190 jars of unsold spread, leaving her with an excess of jam.
However, despite reports, official figures for the former royal’s company have not been released.
Additionally, Markle’s representative told Page Six: “The problem with these repeated Alison Boshoff Daily Mail doomsday stories is that they’re like Groundhog Day: the same prophecies, the same unnamed sources, the same convictions, and somehow we’re still waiting for the 2024 apocalypse they promised.”
