Jelly Roll and Bunny Zoe weathered many storms during their nearly 10-year marriage before calling it quits in May 2026.
The country singer, whose real name is Jason Bradley Deford, already had two children, daughter Bailey and son Noah, from a previous relationship when he met his then-escort in 2015.
At the time, the Grammy Award winner was living in a van, but her career took off a few years after she got married.
He promised his partner that she would “someday… not have to do that” and she would retire from the platform in 2023.
During their last public appearance together at the 2026 Grammy Awards, Jelly Roll thanked his wife in an onstage speech, guising, “If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have changed my life. I would have died or gone to jail. If it wasn’t for you and Jesus, I would have killed myself.”

Bunny Zaw saw her future husband open for the Moonshine Bandits at a Las Vegas country saloon concert in 2015 and was “instantly drawn to him” — even though they were both in other relationships.
“When I first met J, he had the saddest eyes in the room,” she recalled of a backstage chat in her February 2026 memoir, Stripped Down. “I thought, ‘Oh, this is a project. When Jelly Roll discussed their meeting on “Taste of Country Night” in June 2022, he said, “I love when[people]call her a gold digger…because when I met her, I was homeless living in a 1996 converted van.”
2016: Their friendship takes a romantic turn
When they reunited in October 2015, they were “smitten” — and Bunny Zoe said in a 2023 podcast episode that a friend gave Jelly Roll her phone number when her then-boyfriend went to prison.
They were friends at first, and Bunny Zoe gave advice to the songwriter, who was seeking custody of his eldest son.
Their relationship took a romantic turn after they slept together in July 2016.
August 2016: A whirlwind wedding
Bunny Zoe shared five years of plans with Jelly Roll during their first relationship, and they began completing their plans a month later at their wedding in Sin City in August 2016.
The rapper proposed on stage on their wedding night, and the two rushed to the stained glass wedding chapel.
The bride later revealed on TikTok that she was “dark and drunk” at the wedding.
2018: The two break up due to Jellyroll’s betrayal.
Jelly Roll confessed in October 2025 that he had an affair with Bunny Zoe two years into their marriage, a moment he called “one of the worst moments” on his podcast, Human School.
He claimed to have been influenced by “cool” friends before getting sober and recalled “hanging around a bunch of people cheating on their wives.”
Bunny Zaw elaborated further in his book the following year, telling readers that he considered suicide while in “severe” pain.
The Dumb Blonde podcast host noted that she had been having marital problems before the affair, and said she spoke to her cheating partner after Jelly Roll “wasted” her chance to tell the truth.
The two eventually reconciled — but she said, “I’m not going to say we just got back together. We definitely never got back together. … It’s going to take years to put the affair aside. It’s going to take years to actually feel that this man loves me and that I wasn’t disposable.”
Jelly Roll claimed in their 2025 confessional that their “rehabilitation was special” and that they were stronger than ever.
November 2022: Red carpet debut
The couple made their red carpet debut at the CMA Awards in November 2022.
Jelly Roll, whose career was ruined two years ago when his song “Save Me” went viral, went on a rant about his wife to reporters.

June 2024: Couple opens up about infertility treatment
Bunnie Xo went viral in June 2024 when she shared her IVF journey on Instagram.
“We have…explored every option to expand our family,” she wrote at the time. “J and I are so excited and scared at the same time. We never really wanted to expand our family, but something changed this year. We both want to add a piece of ourselves to our already perfect family of Bailey and Noah.”
The following year, she said on her podcast that the two were also considering surrogacy and adoption.

Jelly Roll began a major weight loss transformation in 2022, losing over 200 pounds.
When we spoke to Joe Rogan about his weight loss in December 2025, he admitted that his previous sex life with Bunny Zoe was “terrible” because it was “so big”.
The following month, Jelly Roll praised his partner for being a “smokeshow” for “struggling” to “get in shape” before losing weight, telling Men’s Health that he was “chasing[Bunny Zoe]around the house” because of his recent testosterone replacement therapy.
Bunny Zoe admitted to Us Weekly that their intimacy has had its “highs and lows” because of Jelly Roll’s size.

When Bunny Zoe revealed all about their high-profile relationship in a February 2026 memoir, Jelly Roll admitted to People magazine that the reveal was “rough” because the two had to go through “…a lot of pain” again.

In May 2026, before news broke that Jelly Roll had filed for divorce, Bunny Zoe posted a number of cryptic social media posts.
In one upload, she compared her ex-boyfriend to a trash can, while in another she praised her “female intuition.”
Bunny Zoe also told his followers, “A wild heart is unbreakable.”
As for the “Halfway to Hell” singer, he has posted many times without his wedding ring, and left the band at the 2026 CMA Fest.
June 2026: Jelly Roll divorce filing makes headlines
On June 15, 2026, Page Six confirmed that Jelly Roll had filed for divorce from Bunny Zoe in Tennessee.
He did so on May 18, listing the separation date as May 9 and citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the separation, according to court documents obtained by us.
He and Bunny Zoe have yet to speak out about their breakup, but the latter posted on the day the news broke that she’s “got her spark back.”
