Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter Zahara has followed in her brother’s footsteps and legally dropped her father’s famous last name.
According to documents obtained by Page Six Tuesday, the 21-year-old requested that her name be changed to Zahara Jolie instead of Zahara Jolie-Pitt.
She has scheduled a court hearing for Sept. 28 for a judge to rule on the motion.
“One source referred to this legal action as the result of a “deliberate alienation campaign” and said it was sad to see one parent “successfully separating” their children from the other parent.
Representatives for the F1 star, 62, and Angelina, 51, could not immediately be reached for comment.
InTouch was the first to report this news.
Zahara officially requested a name change after dropping Pitt from her last name at the 2023 Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Commencement Ceremony at Spelman College in Atlanta.
At the time, the 18-year-old, now a college graduate, introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie.”
She also opted out of using her father’s last name when she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in May.
In addition to Zahara, Brad and Angelina are also parents to Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Shiloh, 20, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 17.
Shiloh became the first of his ex-girlfriend’s children to legally remove the actor’s last name after he turned 18 in May 2024.
Most recently, Maddox filed a similar request in May 2026, citing “personal matters” as the reason.
Before that, the actor removed Brad’s name from the credits of the 2025 film Couture, for which Angelina was an assistant director.
Additionally, Brad and Angelina’s daughter Vivian chose not to use Brad’s last name when she helped produce the 2024 Broadway play The Outsiders.
The Fight Club star was reportedly “devastated” by his children’s name change, but is said to be “not ready to give up” on them.
Brad and Angelina, whom he married in 2014, were accused of being “verbal and violent towards the children” on a private jet, and their relationship with their children has remained “strained” since their split in 2016.
The pair, who began dating in 2005, settled for a controversial divorce in December 2024.
