Andy Cohen has broken his silence about his “slow and deliberate” romance with boyfriend Kevin Sobieski.
“I don’t want to be with the wrong person. I value my time too much. I value my life too much,” the Bravo host said on Monday’s SiriusXM show “Radio Andy.”
Cohen went on to say that he met Sobieski at a Fourth of July party last summer, adding: “I’m really happy to be able to say I met the guy.”
The Watch What Happens Live host said he “very methodically” added his number to the businessman’s phone and the rest was history.
“This is a kind, strong, smart, mature man who loves my children and my children love him,” Cohen said of his son Benjamin, 7, and daughter Lucy, 4.
“I love him. We got to know each other, introduced him to our kids, and slowly, carefully, methodically added him to the equation of my family,” he explained.
“I have to say it was very easy. In 11 months we have never fought, we have no disagreements, we do the same things. We just look at life the same way. Even after a year, I still can’t believe I found him.”
Although he shares everything with viewers, Cohen said he wants to keep his new romance to himself for a while.
“I just wanted to be smart and slow before I say anything about this,” he said, adding that Sobieski is “low-key” and not involved in the entertainment industry.
“I’m so happy. I can’t believe I found this guy. I can’t believe it. I can’t believe it. I’m shocked,” Cohen exclaimed.
The Emmy-winning producer’s new romance first made headlines last week when he and Sobieski were spotted holding hands at Cohen’s 58th birthday celebration in New York City.
The two headed hand in hand to dinner at Via Carota, a popular Italian spot.
Page Six also obtained photos of Cohen and the former General Mills financial analyst enjoying a walk together in Miami last month.
Sobieski previously dated songwriter Benj Pasek. The former lovebirds made their red carpet debut at the opening night of Dear Evan Hansen in Los Angeles in 2018.
Meanwhile, Cohen’s last relationship with epidemiologist Clifton Dasungkao was from 2013 to 2018.
