Katy Perry’s romance with Justin Trudeau quickly exploded into flames.
“Katie ended up returning to Justin’s house in Montreal after their first date, and they have been inseparable ever since,” a source exclusively told Page Six.
The “Dark Horse” singer, 41, and Canada’s former prime minister, 54, looked shocked when they were first photographed together in July 2025 while dining at luxury restaurant Le Violon.
Perry was touring Canada at the time, and a source revealed that “one of the main ways” she and Trudeau connected was “as usual, Justin’s team reached out to get tickets to Katy’s concert and meet-and-greets with her daughter Ella Grace, who is a huge fan of Katy.”
A source said, “They both have very busy schedules, but they try to make time for each other.”
Perry and Orlando Bloom, 49, got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2019, and their representatives confirmed in a joint statement that they had called off their engagement in early July 2025. The former couple have a 5-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove.
In August 2023, Prime Minister Trudeau announced his divorce from Prime Minister Sophie Grégoire Trudeau after 18 years of marriage. The former couple have three children.
“Katie and Justin both just got out of serious relationships, and Katy didn’t expect to fall in love with someone so quickly,” a source said. “But Justin checks all the boxes as far as he’s concerned.”
“He has a great sense of humour, is charming and is a total gentleman – exactly what she was looking for in a partner.”
Representatives for Mr. Perry and Mr. Trudeau did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
As previously reported, the Emmy nominee reportedly introduced her daughter to Trudeau’s three children ahead of the couple’s first wedding anniversary.
The couple, who started dating in July 2025, let their respective children meet because “we both feel it’s important to blend our families at a thoughtful and comfortable pace.”
