Emergency meeting! The animated “Among Us” TV show has suddenly arrived on Paramount+, with all 10 episodes available for streaming in full.
Series stars Yvette Nicole Brown and Liv Hewson made the surprise announcement Friday afternoon at Summer Game Fest in Los Angeles. The announcement came as a surprise, as there have been virtually no updates on the project since 2024, when production on the video game adaptation ended.
Fans who attended Summer Game Fest and watched the livestream were treated to a trailer for the show, which follows a cute black-and-white crew aboard an intergalactic spaceship who must eliminate a “shady” impostor.
Created by creator Owen Dennis, the series features a voice cast that includes Brown as Orange, Kimiko Glenn as Cyan, Hewson as Black, Ashley Johnson as Purple, Wayne Knight as Lime, Phil Lamar as Brown, Randall Park as Red, Dan Stevens as Blue, Debra Wilson as Yellow and Computer, Elijah Wood as Green, and Patton. Oswalt is “white”.
Dennis will serve as executive producer along with Forrest Willard, Marcus Bromander, and Innersloth’s Karl Neisser. Titmouse is the animation studio, and executive producers include Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina.
“Among Us” is based on the popular internet game that became a global phenomenon during the pandemic and reached nearly 500 million monthly active users at its peak in late 2020. The game has over 4 billion views on YouTube and is ranked #1 on the App Store in 55 countries and Google Play in 66 countries.
