Chris Hemsworth and his family were denied boarding on an international flight due to a mistake in their passports.
The Thor actor and his wife Elsa Pataky spoke about the embarrassing incident in a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, explaining, “I actually went to the airport once and I had my daughter’s passport with me instead of my son’s.”
Hemsworth, who has daughter India Rose, 14, and twin boys Sasha and Tristan, 12, with Pataky, said he tried to bypass security by claiming the travel documents belonged to his son.
“We kind of look the same,” he joked, to which the 49-year-old Spanish model chimed in, “They don’t look alike.”
“I said, ‘This is the kid,'” she recalled telling the guard, who then said of the child, “That’s a boy.”
“So, yeah, that didn’t work out,” the Marvel star, 42, joked.
Hemsworth and Pataky, who married in 2010, welcomed India Rose in May 2012, followed by twins Sasha and Tristan in March 2014.
Although the couple has mostly kept their children out of the spotlight, they seem to be following in the footsteps of their famous father.
India Rose starred as Gor’s daughter in the 2022 film Thor: Love and Thunder.
Hemsworth said she was looking forward to her eldest son joining her on set, but that she wanted him to prioritize being a child.
“I want her to have a childhood, and I think she does too,” he told ET Online in July 2023.
“I said, ‘You’ve got a lot of time, sweetie. Go to school, go horseback riding, have fun, be a kid.’ Because once the train starts moving, it’s pretty hard to get off and you’re going to miss a lot of things,” the “Avengers” star added.
As for the twins, Sasha and Tristan recently starred in their mother’s new TV series, The Tribute.
Preteens play the sons of Pataki’s characters in the Spanish-language production.
