Jordyn Woods’ lucky bag is coming to the Knicks this postseason.
The 28-year-old model told Vogue that she created an orange ostrich version of her Woods by Jordyn Tax Clutch Mini ($125) for the NBA playoffs. He said the team is on an 11-game winning streak and has no intention of letting it go.
“I wore it for the first round of TikTok GRWM and since then I’ve been winning, so it’s officially my lucky bag,” she said.
Woods, who got engaged to Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns on Christmas Day, shared his game-day superstitions with the newspaper during the Knicks’ fourth straight Eastern Conference Finals victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
“Once the playoffs start, it all becomes part of the ritual if we keep winning,” she said. “There is no risk of changing anything at this time.”
Apparently the fans are keeping score.
“It got to the point where if people didn’t see me carrying it during a close game, they started blaming me for changing my routine,” she said. “Well, let me just say the bag won’t be leaving my side anytime soon.”
This clutch record remains intact. On Tuesday, Woods posted a photo to his Instagram Stories of his bag sitting next to the Eastern Conference Championship trophy on the court. The Knicks won Game 4 130-93 on Monday, advancing to the NBA Finals for the first time in 27 years.
In addition to bags, Woods ordered custom Knicks-themed items for many games. It includes a blue and orange leather jacket, eye-catching pumps with the team logo, and a tank with the number 32 on the front.
“I literally bring her a T-shirt or a pair of jeans and start cutting, pinning and reconstructing from there,” she said of working with her favorite seamstress. “I love the collaborative process of turning something simple into a masterpiece.”
Woods has been courtside all season, celebrating again with a double date with close friends Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet after the first round in April, and appearing in Dsquared ice skate boots the day after Towns, 30, announced he had popped the question.
