Emmy Award-winning director and producer Jason Weiner has signed with United Talent Agency for full representation.

Weiner directed the pilot “Modern Family,” which premiered in 2009, and also served as executive producer on the first season of ABC’s hit and groundbreaking comedy. He was part of the production team that won the 2010 Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series and was nominated for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series (for the pilot “Modern Family”). Winner was nominated again for an Emmy Award in the 2012 Best Comedy Directing category for the episode “Virgin Territory.”

His awards for “Modern Family” include the Peabody Award, PGA Award, AFI Award, and the DGA Award for Outstanding Directing Achievement in a Comedy Series. Weiner ultimately directed 22 episodes over 11 seasons of “Modern Family.”

Most recently, he served as an executive producer on Netflix’s “Vladimir,” starring Rachel Weisz and Leo Woodall. Mr. Weiner is developing, executive producing and directing the untitled series for Apple TV starring Elizabeth Banks from screenwriters Liz Heldens and Matt Ward under his Small Dog Picture Company production banner.

In addition, Winer and Small Dog Picture Company have a series of active projects currently in development at Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Fox, and Universal Television.

Weiner double majored in performance studies and photography at Northwestern University. The Wildcat alum was a member of the Meow Show comedy troupe on campus and studied comedy under Del Close at Chicago’s Improv Olympic Theater. He started his career as an actor before getting behind the camera

Winner’s other credits include “Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23,” “Life in Pieces,” “Singleparents,” “Chad,” “Perfect Harmony,” “1600 Penn” (which he co-produced), “Singleparents,” “The Santa Clauses” and the musical drama “The Big Leap.” He has also directed feature films such as Warner Bros.’ “Arthur” and IFC’s “Ode to Joy.”

Weiner also recently directed episodes of the Fox series “Best Medicine” and “Going Dutch.”

In addition to UTA, Winner continues to be repped by Mosaic, Jorn, Levine, Burns, Klinzmann, Rubenstein, Corner, Endrich, Goodell & Gelman.
