Karl Radke slammed the “uncomfortable” embrace between West Wilson and then-married Amanda Batula during Tuesday’s episode of “Summer House.”
In the pre-final episode, filmed in August 2025, Radke and Kyle Cook nearly came to blows after the cast accused him of making decisions about their careers without considering Batula.
But as the cast worked together to prevent a fight between the two best friends, Wilson focused on keeping Batula safe.
In one instance, as Batula tried to calm Cooke down, Wilson came up behind her and whispered in her ear, then grabbed her around her belly button and tried to pull her back.
But once things calmed down, Wilson and the graphic designer separated from their friends and shared a rather intimate hug. As they hugged each other, the sports journalist cradled her head in his hands and kissed the side of her head repeatedly as she cried against his shoulder.
The two broke away from the hug and Wilson said, “I love you,” as he made sure she was okay.
At that moment, even Batula called Wilson out for “pulling (his) chair next to (her)” when the fight started.
After the episode aired, Radke had a “Watch What Happens Live” discussion about the episode with Andy Cohen and “Vanderpump Rules” alum Ariana Madix.
When asked what he thought about seeing Wilson defend Batula so much, the owner of Soft Bar + Cafe said, “It’s disgusting to watch. I’m not cool with saying West is messing around with married women.”
“It’s like not touching the belly button or neck of a woman in a committed relationship like that,” he continued. “I don’t care how friendly you are. When I see something emotional, it’s really uncomfortable and not OK.”
During an episode of “WWHL,” Radke also told Cohen that he didn’t think Wilson and Batula’s relationship would work out in the long run. He also revealed that he spoke to Batula but completely stonewalled Wilson.
Fans have been looking at the latest season of Summer House differently since Batula and Wilson revealed that their relationship went from platonic to romantic shortly after she split from Cook, her husband of four years.
Since then, the cast of Summer House have been eviscerating the new couple, with Ciara Miller, who was dating Wilson and on the verge of getting back together, calling her ex-best friend Batula a “snake” in leaked audio from the reunion.
As for Mr Cook, he called Mr Wilson a “shithole” while expressing concern for Mr Batula’s mental health due to the backlash.
Meanwhile, Page Six revealed that Wilson was in an “exclusive relationship” with another woman when his romance with Batula was exposed.
