No punches.
Host Shane Gillis pulled Chelsea Handler’s dinner at Jeffrey Epstein’s New York home into Sunday night’s Netflix “Roast of Kevin Hart” special.
Both comics attended the event as part of the streamer’s 2026 Netflix Is a Joke festival, where Gillis delivered a surprising Epstein joke just before introducing Handler on stage.
“Chelsea are Zionists. I can’t say that’s good or bad,” the Tires star, 38, said. “Speaking of dead children, she’s a big fan of abortion. Chelsea has been scarred more times than Benihana’s grill.”
He continued, “Speaking of putting little shrimp in children’s mouths, Chelsea Handler went to Jeffrey Epstein’s house for dinner in 2010. Check it out.”
Gillis also said the dinner was not a “big party” as there were only “about seven people” in attendance, including “Prince Andrew and Woody Allen.”
But the Epstein jokes didn’t end there, as Handler appeared to tell his own joke as soon as he got on stage.
“Welcome to To Catch a Predator tonight,” said the former Chelsea Lately host, 51. “This is the true identity of a statutory rapist.”
She added: “We are lucky that none of you could afford an island.”
Handler previously spoke about the “awkward” and “weird” dinner she attended at Epstein’s home during an appearance on Rob Lowe’s “Literary!” February 2021 Podcast.
This podcast episode was released less than two years after her disgraced fiance died in an apparent suicide while incarcerated on child sex trafficking charges in August 2019.
“I did go to Jeffrey Epstein’s house for dinner,” Handler told Rowe. “I didn’t know who Jeffrey Epstein was. I was about 20 years old. I don’t know what year it was, but it was a long time ago.”
She continued, “I went with Katie Couric. Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn were there. Charlie Rose was there, too.”
Handler also told Rowe that she didn’t stay at Epstein’s house “for very long,” but that she did meet then-Prince Andrew at a dinner party.
“When I got there, I thought, ‘What is this gathering?'” the comedian recalled. “Oh yeah, Prince Andrew was there, but no, there was no one there. He was there with Jeffrey Epstein.”
She further added, “Yeah, we had dinner and it was so awkward and so weird. I thought, what are we doing here?”
The author of “Have Whatever She’s Got” claimed that the only time she passed Epstein was at dinner in 2010.
“I’ve never been to a private island and I’ve never been on his plane,” she told Rowe. “I met him once and that was it.”
Epstein’s Little St. James Island and private jet made recent headlines after the U.S. Department of Justice released more than 3 million pages related to the late financier.
The documents reportedly show that a number of people visited Epstein’s private island or flew on his private jet, but the Justice Department stressed that their names on the documents were not evidence of wrongdoing.
