Lisa Rinna paid tribute to her late Days of Our Lives co-star Patrick Muldoon on Monday, decades after their romance.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum shared a throwback snap of herself and the late actor smiling in a promo for the ’90s soap opera on her Instagram Story.
She captioned the social media upload with a heartbroken emoji.
Rinna, 62, and Muldoon, who died of a heart attack over the weekend, played on-screen brothers Billy Reed and Austin Reed, respectively.
In 2021, the Bravolebrity opened up to PEOPLE about her “surreal” short-lived romance with a fellow cast member.
“[I]had an affair with the man who played my brother,” Rinna told the outlet at the time, but clarified that the affair consisted of “a few one-night stands.”
The actress added: “Patrick Muldoon and I had a thing.”
The two filmed the series together from 1992 to 1995, and both reprized their roles in later years, joining the cast of Melrose Place.
News of Muldoon’s shocking death at the age of 57 broke on Monday.
The “Sleeping Masses” singer was pronounced dead Sunday at his partner Miriam Rothbart’s home in Beverly Hills, California.
After the couple spent the morning together, Rotbart found her partner unconscious on the bathroom floor.
Muldoon appeared happy and healthy in her last public appearance at the 53rd Saturn Awards in March.
He last posted on Instagram on Friday, where he shared his “excitement” for his upcoming project “Cockroach.”
Muldoon’s latest films, “Dirty Hands,” “Stay at Home,” and “Play for Me: The Key to Freedom,” will be released posthumously.
Rinna was one of the first of Muldoon’s colleagues to publicly pay tribute, with “Saved by the Bell” alum Mario Lopez writing “Rest in Peace, my friend” on Monday morning alongside a black-and-white photo.
