John Nolan, known for his roles in “Batman” and “Person of Interest,” has died. He was 87 years old.
Mr Nolan died on Saturday, local British broadcaster Stratford-upon-Avon Herald reported. His cause of death is unknown at this time.
The actor is best known for playing Wayne Enterprises director Douglas Fredericks in the 2005 film Batman Begins and the 2012 film The Dark Knight Rises, starring Christian Bale.
Nolan also appeared in the second season of Person of Interest, directed by his nephew Jonathan Nolan, in 2013 as MI6 agent John Greer. In addition, he worked behind the scenes on more than 20 episodes of the series.
In addition to his famous nephew Jonathan, John is also the uncle of the equally famous director Christopher Nolan.
He appeared in two of Christopher’s films, 1998’s Following and 2017’s war film Dunkirk.
Page Six reached out to representatives for Christopher and Jonathan, but did not immediately receive a response.
John’s most recent credit was for his role in 2024, when he starred in an episode of “Dune: Prophecy.”
John is survived by his wife, actress Kim Hartman, children Miranda and Tom, and two grandchildren.
