Good morning, angels.
“Charlie’s Angels” alums Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd reunited at PaleyFest in Los Angeles on Monday night for the hit series’ 50th anniversary celebration.
The three actresses posed for the camera with beaming smiles. Jackson opted for a black and white ensemble, while Smith and Rudd opted for soft pastels.
The trio announced their reunion in a statement in January.
“Charlie’s Angels surprised everyone when Farrah[Fawcett]Jackie, and I started out full force (thanks in part to Farrah’s iconic poster) and the pilot crashed through a glass ceiling,” Jackson told People magazine.
“Overnight, we were celebrated for something akin to ‘Rockstar Fame.’ When Cheryl joined us for the second season, she added her own special element and the craziness continued even more,” she added.
The three women said in a statement that the series was “lighthearted” and “quietly conveyed the important message that women are just as capable as men.”
“We are proud to have been able to entertain, uplift and help viewers forget their worries for an hour each week while inspiring and empowering young women around the world,” they said.
Charlie’s Angels aired on ABC from 1976 to 1981.
The series originally starred Jackson, Smith, and the late Farrah Fawcett, and has since undergone multiple cast changes.
Rudd replaced Fawcett after the first season in 1977, but Fawcett left the show to pursue a career in film.
Two years later, Jackson left the series and was replaced by Shelley Hack and then Tanya Roberts, who died in 2021.
Smith was the only original cast member to appear in all five seasons.
In 2023, Jackson and Smith reunited at the wedding of Smith’s son Gaston Richmond and Bonnie Lane.
Smith included footage of Jackson in a video montage of their wedding on Instagram.
Prior to the wedding, Jackson had not been photographed in public for more than a decade, the last time being photographed at Fawcett’s funeral in Los Angeles in 2009.
