Olympic gymnast Steven Nedrosik and his girlfriend Tess McCracken have broken up after 10 years of dating.
“Stephen and I are no longer together. We haven’t seen each other since early January,” she shared via TikTok on Saturday.
“Enough time has passed and people noticed,” she added, explaining that she deleted all photos of herself with the bronze medalist on social media and found “multiple Reddit threads” about their relationship.
McCracken, 28, continued: “I think it’s easier to be open and not have to hide it.”
“It’s strange having to announce our breakup when we weren’t trying to hide it in the first place,” she added.
Dispelling speculation behind their breakup, the TikToker said, “There was no drama, there were no big fights where either of them got violent, there was no cheating (and) neither of them came out as gay.”
McCracken also denied rumors that he gave the 27-year-old athlete, who competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics, an “ultimatum” about marriage.
“It was really just time and I was so disappointed. There’s really no other way to say it,” she said, adding that she and Nedrosik started dating when they were 17 and 18 years old, respectively.
“They’re 27 and 28 now,” the former gymnast added. “After all, things that didn’t matter when you were 18 may matter in your late 20s.”
Despite the breakup, the former lovers remain on friendly terms.
McCracken said: “There’s no bad blood. I want to see him succeed in every way, but the way support is delivered now has to change.”
The former couple separated in January when their apartment lease ended, and McCracken has since moved into a new apartment in Florida.
Nedrosik and McCracken met as freshmen at Penn State in 2016, when they were both on the school’s gymnastics team.
“I thought, ‘This girl looks cool,’ and she’s a little weird, like me, so we kind of hit it off,” Nedrosik previously told Access Hollywood.
McCracken was by her ex-girlfriend’s side as she competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics and season 33 of “Dancing with the Stars.”
