Chuck Norris’ family has condemned the spread of “completely untrue” information about the late actor’s death.
Norris’ family released a statement on Chuck’s official Instagram account Wednesday, condemning misinformation online about how the fighter died.
“We are aware that since Chuck’s death, numerous AI-generated videos and posts have circulated online containing false and misleading information about the circumstances of his death, his medical history, and who was present,” the statement began.
The Norriss said the “totally false” claims about Chuck include “fabricated reports of past medical issues” and “false stories” about his “family relationships.”
He also urged fans not to “believe or share any information about Chuck unless it comes directly from the Norris family or an authorized representative of the family.”
“Thank you for your understanding and for keeping our family in your prayers,” the statement concluded.
On March 19, TMZ reported that Chuck was rushed to the hospital on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. Details of the incident are unknown.
His family confirmed his death the next day. He was 86 years old.
In a statement, the family said, “It is with a heavy heart that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning.” “While we would like to keep the situation private, please know that he was peaceful and surrounded by his family.”
The statement also remembered Chuck as a “devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, wonderful brother, and the heart of our family.”
Chuck’s family includes his wife, Gina O’Kelly, and five children.
The ‘Walker, Texas Ranger’ star shares twins Dakota and Danilee, 24, with O’Kelly, while he welcomed Mike, 63, and Eric, 60, during his marriage to first wife Diane Holcheck.
Chuck later learns that he welcomed his fifth child, Dina, during their affair.
Dakota and DaniLeigh took to social media to pay tribute to their father following his death.
Dakota said in her post that Chuck was “someone I’ve looked up to my whole life” and that she was “so proud to be your son.”
“The memories we made, the lessons you taught me, and the constant laughter we shared will stay with me for the rest of my life,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, DaniLeigh called Chuck her “protector” and admitted that “losing a parent is something you can never prepare for.”
“My father loved so deeply and cared for everyone in his life with such tenderness,” she continued. “To say how grateful I am to have him as my father is an understatement.”
