As rumors of a romance between “Summer House” stars Amanda Batula and West Wilson dominate the Internet, Page Six reports that Bravo is prioritizing the health of the cast and will not make any hasty production decisions.
“Everything is still very fresh and the network’s priority right now is making sure the cast is okay,” a source told Us on Thursday.
Our source assured us that “nothing has been decided” regarding the future of “Summer House,” its stars, or the reality show’s upcoming spinoff, “In the City.”
Our source also claimed that there were “no conversations” about cast members leaving or being fired.
They added that Bravo head and reunion host Andy Cohen will address the scandal during the Season 10 reunion. The reunion is reportedly still scheduled to be recorded in mid-April.
Meanwhile, “In the City,” starring Boutler and her estranged husband Kyle Cooke, is still scheduled to premiere in May.
“We’re all gathering information. The reunion is coming up. … The reunion will tell the whole story,” Cohen, 57, told street journalist Adam Glynn on Wednesday, adding that he “sympathizes” with everyone involved.
Mr Glynn later contacted Mr Cooke to complain that he was “genuinely concerned” that his estranged wife was being “cyberbullied” by furious fans, but that he was not “justifying” her actions.
The Loverboy founder, 43, added wryly: “West seems like the type to play multiple women at the same time.”
As Page Six exclusively reported, Wilson, 31, was allegedly in an “exclusive” relationship with at least one woman when his secret romance with Batula, 34, was exposed on Tuesday.
Cook, who announced his split from Batula in January, explained to Glynne that the scandal “really puts the content of the show at risk,” insisting, “We can’t film ‘Summerhouse’ if the atmosphere is down. We’re not actors.”
The Entrepreneurs will return for a potential Season 11, but feels the “real question” at hand is whether the currently “pissed off” and “disappointed” cast can be under the same roof, especially since they’re having a “single entry” this year.
Despite having “major issues” with Wilson, Cooke insisted he was willing to make the film with Wilson.
As for Batula’s former best friend Ciara Miller (who previously dated Wilson), she is reportedly “heartbroken” by the “betrayal” on both sides, especially since she and Wilson “recently had been trying to see if they could work things out again.”
