Ciara Miller unfollowed ex-boyfriend West Wilson and his new girlfriend Amanda Batula after reports surfaced that they were dating.
The move comes minutes after Ms. Batula shared a statement on Instagram, confirming that she is dating her ex-BFF.
In a joint statement, Batula and Wilson wrote that they had “seen increasing speculation online” and “wanted to provide some clarity.”
“We were never intentionally trying to hide anything,” she wrote. “Given the complex relationship dynamics and intense scrutiny that comes with appearing on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before talking about the show.”
“We have known each other as friends over the years, through ups and downs, but the recent developments were something neither of us expected.”
The couple said that their relationship was “born out of many years of genuine friendship” and that they did not go public with their romance right away because they “want to approach this cautiously.”
“As our emotions have changed, we wanted to take the time to understand exactly what we were feeling. We also recognized that this affected more than just us, and we never wanted our actions to be perceived as hurtful or careless,” the pair wrote.
Wilson, 31, and Batula, 34, ended their post by writing, “We sincerely appreciate your understanding and respect as we work through this.”
Miller was shocked to learn that her best friend Batula was dating her ex-girlfriend.
According to photos obtained exclusively by Page Six on Tuesday, the reality star was sitting on the sidewalk leaning against an Hermès store in New York.
Miller, who was wearing a white dress, was comforted by an unidentified man who crouched down and grabbed her arm.
Batula’s romance comes just over two months after she announced her separation from husband Kyle Cook.
The former couple announced their divorce in January after four years of marriage.
Meanwhile, Wilson dated Batula’s best friend Miller for four months in 2023. The two began a short-term relationship in the summer of 2023, after filming season 8 of the reality show Bravo, and ended their relationship in December of the same year.
A source told Page Six that both Miller and Cook are “upset” and “disappointed” by the news of Batula and Wilson’s “serious” relationship.
Rumors that Wilson and Batula were secretly dating began to surface in March when a source told gossip site Deuxmoi that the co-stars were spotted making out in New York City.
They were also seen “openly flirting and allegedly holding hands under a table” at the event.
Days later, Wilson did not deny the speculation when he appeared on “Watch What Happens Live.”
“She’s currently single and the same thing happened to other people she was with,” he said on the March 24 episode.
“We’re just hanging out in New York. She’s single. I have to show her around the city, you know?” Wilson added.
