Megan Thee Stallion was hospitalized after feeling ill during a performance of “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for the “WAP” rapper told Page Six in a statement: “During filming on Tuesday night, Megan became extremely ill and was immediately taken to a local hospital where her symptoms are currently being evaluated.”
“We will share additional updates as more information becomes available,” the representative added.
Additionally, Megan’s hairstylist, Kerron Derrick, wrote to X, “Everyone please keep Megan in your prayers. We are all in the hospital.”
On Tuesday, “The Breakfast Club” host Lauren LoRosa tweeted that the Grammy winner, 31, had suddenly left the show midway through a Broadway show, sparking concern from fans.
“I came to see Meg the Stallion on Broadway, but it was short-lived,” the journalist tweeted.
“The few scenes I saw of her opening were amazing on stage! I was excited, but… in the middle of the show, they stopped ‘Moulin Rouge’ and apologized to the audience and were told, ‘Please come inside and have a seat.’ I asked security if it was safe. They said, ‘For now, if anything changes, we’ll keep you updated,'” Lorosa added.
The former TMZ reporter later revealed that Megan’s Moulin Rouge character Zidler had been replaced “by a black male actor.”
“We are safe. The show can go on without Megan Thee Stallion,” she wrote.
Last week, the host of Hot Girl Summer, real name Megan Peet, made history as the first female cast member to play Zidler on the show.
At the end of the show, Megan performs a medley of her top hits including “WAP,” “Savage,” and “Body.”
The host of “Sweetest Pie” will appear in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” until May 17th.
Megan previously said in a statement that it was an “absolute honor” to land this role in the Broadway show.
“I’ve always believed in pushing myself creatively, and theater is definitely a new opportunity that I’ll embrace and gladly accept,” she shared.
“Broadway requires a different level of discipline, preparation and storytelling, but I’m up for the challenge and can’t wait for Hotties to see a new side of me,” the hitmaker added.
