Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s “Summer House” co-stars are upset by the new couple’s explosive statements, a Page Six investigation has learned.
Shortly after the news broke, a source privy to the situation said both castmates, including Wilson’s ex Ciara Miller and Batula’s ex Kyle Cooke, were “upset” and “disappointed” with them.
According to our source, the overall vibe is that of “Team Ciara,” who previously dated Wilson and is working through her unresolved feelings for him on season 10 of her reality show, Bravo, which is currently airing.
Notably, the model and Batula were close friends until recently. Miller, 30, has since unfollowed Batula and Wilson on Instagram.
On Tuesday, Batula, 34, and West, 31, released a joint statement confirming their secret “connection” after weeks of speculation and mounting evidence.
Co-star Lindsay Hubbard quickly denied this statement via her Instagram Story. “New publicist?” she wrote above a photo of “Love Is Blind” Season 10 villain Alex Henderson.
Also on this season of “Summer House,” fans have been keeping tabs on the deterioration of Batula and Cook’s four-year marriage. They announced their separation in January.
Miller and Wilson were caught on camera supporting Batula through her romantic struggles.
Amanda Batula Swim founder praised the support of Miller and Wilson in a March 3 interview with Marie Claire. Two days later, Dumois newspaper reported that Batura and Wilson were seen “openly flirting and even allegedly holding hands under the table” at an event in New York City.
At the time, neither side publicly denied the conversation.
And when the topic came up last week during Wilson’s appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” he twice mentioned Batula was “single” and added, “I’ve got to show her around town, right? Even if it’s not obvious, she’s a very important person to me and I care about her very much.”
When she approached him further, he called her “friend.”
Meanwhile, Batula recently agreed with an Instagram user who said she would “never date” Wilson because he is her “safe best friend.”
As for Cook, he told Cohen on the March 10 episode of WWHL that he “doesn’t think there’s any merit” to speculation that his estranged wife is seeing friends.
The Loverboy founder, 43, admitted it would “catch[him]off guard” but said if it turns out to be true, “Ciara will probably have something to say.”
One minute before Mr. Batula and Mr. Wilson made their shocking statements, Mr. Miller was photographed collapsing on a New York City sidewalk and being comforted by an unidentified male companion.
