Lee Ginsberg is leaving the film and television public relations firm Ginsberg/Libby to become an independent awards consultant.
Ginsburg and Chris Libby launched their eponymous agency in 2009.
“Chris and I have built and grown Ginsburg/Libby into something meaningful. We are so grateful for the experiences we shared and proud of all we have accomplished,” Ginsburg said in a statement Tuesday morning. “After 16 years of managing the day-to-day operations of a full-service agency, I am stepping into a new phase of the work I cherish, and I intend to approach consulting with the same distinctive care and insight that has characterized the Ginsburg/Libby brand.”
He is scheduled to officially retire from his position in mid-April. Libby will continue to lead the company under its current banner, along with senior staff including Clay Dollarhide, Julie Siegel, Shauna Hoare, Robin Finn and Olivia Delgado.
“We celebrate Lee’s future,” Libby said. “Lee and I have been blessed with a simple and easy partnership, driven by shared values and an uncompromising commitment to our clients. My staff and I are dedicated to continuing the legacy of everything we have built together.”
Founded in July 2009, Ginsburg/Libby focuses on the entertainment space across film, television, festivals, awards and corporate branding, with deep expertise in both mainstream and digital communications. During his tenure as partner, Ginsberg built a solid awards business and played a key role in the awards campaigns for Hamnet, Bougonia, Song Saint Bleu, Conclave, The Holdovers, Coda, Lincoln, The Shape of Water, Joker, Manchester by the Sea, Birdman, and Still the Night Is Over.
