Taylor Swift avoided a near collision with ex John Mayer while attending Paul McCartney’s concert in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
The “Lover” songstress, 36, and Mayer, 48, were spotted separately talking to guests at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood, according to photos obtained by TMZ.
Swift briefly chatted with fellow hitmaker Olivia Rodrigo before leaving the venue through a separate exit from the “Gravity” crooner.
It’s unclear whether the ex-lovers met inside the venue, but they appeared to be in good spirits for the star-studded outing.
Swift and Mayer’s relationship dates back to 2009, when Mayer expressed interest in collaborating with the “Cruel Summer” singer.
In the same year, they released “Half of My Heart”, which was included on his album “Battle Studies”.
The two were then spotted dining with friends in Nashville in January 2010, and Mayer later honored Swift at the Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony in June 2010.
The Grammy Award winner recorded the hit song “Dear John” on her October 2010 album Speak Now, which is rumored to be about Mayer.
“Don’t you think 19 is too young to play in your dark, twisted games? When I loved you so much?” she sings.
Mayer addressed rumors that the song was about her in a 2012 interview with Rolling Stone magazine, saying, “I’m pretty good at taking responsibility now, and I’ve never done anything to deserve it. What she did was really terrible.”
“I didn’t get any emails, I didn’t get any phone calls,” he said. “I was really caught off guard and really humiliated when I was already dressed down. I mean, how would you feel if you were at your lowest point ever and someone kicked you even further down?”
The “New Light” singer called the song “cheesy songwriting” and accused Swift of “abusing” her talent.
In an interview with Glamor magazine that year, Swift called Mayer “presumptuous” for her comments and fired back with applause.
“I never reveal who my songs are about,” she added.
The “Love Story” singer is currently engaged to fiancé Travis Kelce, but Mayer was last rumored to be dating influencer Kat Stickler in October of last year.
