On Friday, Shia LaBeouf was spotted having a tense exchange with police outside his New Orleans home.
The “Transformers” star was spotted making sympathetic gestures toward police early in the morning in footage obtained by TMZ. During the encounter, he was wearing a short-sleeved shirt and standing on the top step of the balcony.
“You have to understand who I am. I’m a target,” he said, pointing to surveillance cameras in his home, before calling himself an “easy target.”
The clip also shows the Even Stevens alum, 39, seemingly pulling up his T-shirt to reveal his upper body before making the sign of the cross and looking up.
As the exchange became more heated, LaBeouf returned to his porch and began yelling, “I’m sitting in jail for four months for hitting someone,” and “I can’t believe I have a 3-year-old!”
Police approached the porch as an emotional LaBeouf continued to scream that he had “zero” trust in authorities.
“I don’t trust you at all!” he said before crying out in frustration. The footage then cuts to the street, where LaBeouf can be heard yelling, “What are you talking about? That’s why I never call!”
The actor was then seen screaming while walking, lifting his shirt over his face and sobbing loudly. Police appeared to be leaving the scene as he continued to cry.
Page Six reached out to the New Orleans Police Department. A representative for Mr. LaBeouf did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment on Friday.
Earlier this week, the “Hole’s” actor was seen on video wearing only his boxer shorts while looking for a cigarette in a hotel lobby.
“Now, brother…give me the king’s matches. Do you have any matches?” he asked the woman as he walked away.
The video was released after LaBeouf was arrested for being intoxicated in New Orleans during Mardi Gras last week, and after a judge granted him permission to flee, LaBeouf was seen heading to Rome to attend the baptism of his father, Jeffrey Craig LaBeouf.
The Disney Channel alum was arrested in February for a bar fight, in which footage showed the “Honey Boy” star arguing with multiple people and headbutting one of them.
A police report alleged that LaBeouf may have dislocated one of the men’s noses during the public altercation, and LaBeouf was eventually charged with two counts of simple assault and later released.
Almost immediately, he was back on the streets to rejoin the Mardi Gras festivities.
The former child actor was later ordered in court to post bail of more than $100,000, undergo a drug testing program, and attend a rehabilitation facility.
Sources exclusively told Page Six that he moved to New Orleans to be closer to family after secretly separating from his estranged wife, “Frankenstein” star Mia Goth, about a year ago.
The former couple have a daughter, Isabelle, who was born in March 2022.
