Kim Kardashian struck gold on Sunday night.
The 45-year-old Skims mogul hit the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2026 wearing a glittering Gucci dress paired with 8-inch heels and ice blue colored contact lenses.
The shoes — stripper-favorite Pleaser’s gold-mirror Flamingo 808 style ($79.95) — put the 5-foot-2 Kardashian closer to supermodel height, but fans pointed out that she struggled to walk on the carpet.
Accessorizing with a 3-carat Ofira Jewels diamond ear cuff, Kardashian created a dramatic beauty moment with a dark smoky eye, defined cheekbones, and a glossy nude lip.
Her hair was styled in a wavy, shoulder-length bob.
This floor-length gown comes straight from longtime friend Demna’s fall 2026 Gucci runway, which debuted at Milan Fashion Week last month. Model Alex Consani wore the same dress on the catwalk, but styled it ankle-length with gold point-toe pumps.
Kardashian posed with the designer outside a glitzy event on Sunday, posting a photo on Instagram with the caption, “DEMNA 4 EVER @GUCCI.”
Kardashian is one of the most reliable red carpet figures and one of the most talked about figures at the annual bash. Last year, her white Tyvek Balenciaga Haute Couture ball gown earned her the nickname “Kleenex Kardashian” after fans compared the wrinkled, paper-like material to a fitted sheet. She then changed into a skintight croc-embossed Jean Paul Gaultier look for her second after-party.
In 2024, she wore a sculptural Balenciaga white dress with an angular neckline and paired it with Lorraine Schwartz diamond studs and black sunglasses to keep things sophisticated.
Sister Kylie Jenner recently posed on the latest Vanity Fair cover wearing nothing but a giant Chanel bow, and at the same festival she posed with boyfriend Timothée Chalamet on the carpet in black beaded Alexander McQueen.
Meanwhile, Kendall Jenner wore a pale blue Chanel dress with sequins and delicate silk mushroom embroidery.
Away from the carpet, Kardashian has been in the headlines for her budding romance with Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton. The pair made a public appearance at the Super Bowl in February and were spotted vacationing in the Arizona desert earlier this month.
The Ferrari driver became part of the Oscar buzz after his co-produced film F1 was nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture. However, he is currently in Shanghai as he competed in the Chinese Grand Prix earlier in the day.
There will always be next year.
