It’s party time!
Danny DeVito and John Stamos hosted a secret party ahead of the world premiere of their dark comedy thriller “Drugs” at SXSW 2026. And Page Six was there to get the full scoop on what happened.
An invitation-only festival was held Friday at The Driskell, a luxury hotel in the historic district of downtown Austin, Texas.
Guests were treated to an open bar stocked with wine, beer, and spirits, as well as a wide selection of snacks, including burgers, chicken sliders, giant pretzels, fries, garlic breadsticks, and a giant veggie tray with hummus.
DeVito was one of the first “drag” stars to arrive at the bash. After chatting with fans and taking a few photos, 81-year-old star Matilda headed to a bar for a glass of wine.
Shortly after, Mr. Stamos, 61, arrived at the party with his wife, Caitlin McHugh. The “Full House” alum and “Invisible Raptor” actress, 39, told friends and fans, while Stamos snapped a few selfies.
He also went to talk to DeVito and made himself comfortable on the couch all night.
Danny and Stamos, who produced Drag with their children Lucy DeVito and Jake DeVito, also spoke with the film’s actress Lizzy Caplan.
Around 8 p.m., partygoers were treated to a surprise performance by ER alums, along with Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stamp and directors Raviv Ullman and Greg Jagornitzer.
Stamos and the men, who played both guitar and drums, performed songs by the legendary Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band that were featured on “Drugs.”
After the party, the cast and crew of “Drag” headed to Austin’s State Theater for the film’s world premiere.
“Drags” is the story of two sisters’ plan to rob a rural home in upstate New York, but it unravels when one of them throws out her back and gets stuck upstairs. The two then engage in a painful, dark, and funny scramble to escape before the house owner returns.
