Jenna Ortega chose a lingerie-inspired look for the 2026 Actor Awards. The ceremony, formerly known as the SAG Awards, has the theme for tonight’s first-ever red carpet: “Reimagining the Hollywood Glam of the ’20s and ’30s.” The Wednesday star is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series.
Jenna Ortega put an unexpected twist on ELLE’s first red carpet theme for the Actor Awards. With the theme “Reimagining Hollywood glamor of the 20s and 30s,” the star wore a lace cream Christian Cowan slip dress, which she teamed with stockings and Jimmy Choo shoes.
Ortega received one nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her work on Wednesday at the ceremony formerly known as the SAG Awards. It’s her first award show appearance since January’s Golden Globes, when she wore a black cut-out dress by Dilara Findikoglu.
In July, Ortega spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about how the public’s perception of her doesn’t match who she really is. “I think that’s part of my struggle with that aspect of this job because I feel incredibly misunderstood,” she said. “It’s almost like your name doesn’t belong to you. It barely even resonates with you anymore. I hate assumptions, and a big part of this job is people making assumptions about you.”
She added, “Yes, I have similar qualities to Wednesday, but I’m different from her.”
There’s less mystery when it comes to celebrities, she admitted. “We know too much (about actors),” she said. “And people feel entitled to the pieces of your life that are unlikely to feel the same comfort when they are put under the same microscope. But creative people have expectations, and half the time they shouldn’t speak in public. They’re supposed to be salesmen for their own brand. But they should lock them in a room and let them create art.”
